The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) continues to grow around the world despite the challenges (intense persecutions and malicious allegations) confronting it. The Church is opening five new chapels in North America (four in the United States and one in Canada) this month.
Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, Executive Minister of the Church, mentioned about the five new chapels in North America when he officiated the worship service in Fremont, California on Saturday, February 13.
The Executive Minister also noted that the Iglesia Ni Cristo already built around 1,300 Houses of Worship around the world over the past six years.
In a separate statement, Bro. Edwil Zabala, the spokesperson of the Iglesia Ni Cristo said the opening of the five new chapels are the fruit of its intensive propagation/expansion of the Church, and are intended intensify the faith of its members in other parts of the world.
The inauguration of the new chapels also shows the “growing recognition of the unique character of this Christian Church,” said Bro. Zabala.
Executive Minister to lead the dedication of the new chapels
The new chapels in the United States are spread geographically from the East Coast to the West Coast.
The new chapel in Bakersfield, California has 300-seating capacity; Jersey City, New Jersey has 300-seating capacity, and Orange Park, Florida has 300-seating capacity.
The new chapel in Lubbock, Texas has 484-seating capacity in the main worship hall and 150-seating capacity in the function hall.
The new house of worship in Regina, Canada has 250-seating capacity in the main hall and 100-seating capacity in the function hall.
Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo will be leading the official opening and dedication of the five new chapels to God.
Iglesia Ni Cristo expects more blessing in other parts of the world
The Iglesia Ni Crsito spokesperson said the Church Administration is very excited. He also said the Church members are more excited in the respective local congregations where the five new houses of worship will be opened and offered to God.
Bro. Zabala said, “Our brethren in North America have been requesting for these churches for some time now and we are glad that with the INC leadership’s guidance, we are finally doing it.”
